26.2 with DONNA concludes marathon weekend

The 26.2 with DONNA began at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 9. Runners were cheered on by crowds along the route.
Many runners and onlookers dressed up in pink to show their support in the fight to finish breast cancer. Donna Deegan, founder of the event, presented to the runners during weekend events before participating in the 26.2 with DONNA.
The 13th DONNA Marathon Weekend concluded with nearly 7,000 runners from all 50 states and 12 countries participating in multiple competitive race events.
This year’s race weekend took runners through a reimagined course for a second year in a row. The winners were Dave Krupski of Ponte Vedra for the Ultra 110 Marathon with a time of 13:24:40; Robert Rankin of Kingsland, Ga., for the Men’s Marathon with a time of 2:59:02; Meaghan Murray of Baltimore, Md., for the Women’s Marathon with a time of 3:07:04; Christopher McCaffrey of Jacksonville for the Men’s Half Marathon with a time of 1:11:52; Alli Gregg of Jacksonville for the Women’s Half Marathon with a time of 1:18:06; Yami Hu of Edgewater for the Survivor Marathon with a time of 3:48:57; and Catherine Martin of Gainesville for the Survivor Half Marathon with a time of 1:39:44.
The 2020 weekend also saw the return of the half marathon relay. First place was team D2K D2K with team members David Farraday, Kelsey Hearn and Devon Scheible with a time of 1:27:47. Second place was team Stackhouse Fitness/The CSI Companies with team members Junior Johnson, Krista Roehlig and Holly Sanford with a time of 1:29:51. Third place was team Tonedawg led by David Csikai with a time of 1:32:39.
