KING, FRANCES MCCONDICHIE

Frances McCondichie King, 94, of Ponte Vedra, Florida died April 24th, 2016. Mrs. King was born in Selma, Alabama but grew up in Jacksonville Beach with her four siblings. and her parents Hilary H. and Frances D, McCondichie. Active in the Junior League and in the Episcopal Church Mrs. King lived her adult life in the southeast. After the death of her husband, Louis E. King, she returned to the beaches at Ponte Vedra in 1998. Central to her life were her extended family of children and siblings, a close circle of friends, many of whom had roots at the beaches, and an active engagement with the life of the mind through books and ideas. She loved and created beauty in many different forms.
She is survived by her sister Farrior M. Byron; children Pamela C. Carmichael, Thomas P. Collins, and Lisa C. Watson; grandchildren, W. Lawson Carmichael, Hilary C. McCracken, Byron Patrick Watson and Emily DeYampert Watson; four great-grandchildren, Ellison Tyler Carmichael, Nathan Dean McCracken, Anna Lawson Carmichael, and Dillon Clyde McCracken.
Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Service at Christ Church, Ponte Vedra on Friday, July 22nd, 2016 at 11 A.M.
