DAWSON, BRUCE WAYNE

Bruce Wayne Dawson, 71, passed away suddenly on May 19, 2016. He was born in Frostburg, MD and moved to Washington, DC at the age of 8, and relocated to Jacksonville and the beaches 39 years ago.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the 1960’s on the USS Burton Island and at the Pentagon. He was employed for over 20 years with Shoreline Flooring Supplies, before retirement in 2011.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Maggie. He was predeceased by his parents and brother.
Bruce’s wishes were to have no service, but for everyone to remember him with a smile. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to K-9’s for Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Rd., Ponte Vedra, FL 32081.
