David Lopanik, 75, of Atlantic Beach, Fl., passed away suddenly on June 8, 2016. Always known as Dave, he was born March 1, 1941 to Stefan and Anna Lopanik. The youngest of five children, Dave grew up in New Jersey enjoying football, sailing, racing cars and traveling.
Dave had a love of farming, owning a dairy farm in upstate New York for several years. He later moved his family to Florida and started a custom cabinet business with his brother Bill. After many successful years with Lopanik Cabinets he retired to enjoy his many hobbies which included  gardening, blackjack, and spending time with his grandchildren, Mallory and Graham. Always proud that he had “never been indited”, Dave had a great sense of humor, loved to talk politics, and attend his senior classes at UNF.
He is survived by his children Sam Lopanik, Laura Ozimkovski and her husband Eugene, and his grandchildren Mallory and Graham. He is survived by his sister Doris Nash, his sister-in-law Trudy Lopanik, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers Johnny and Bill and sister Lillian.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date for friends and family.
He will be forever missed.
