Born January 2, 1930 in Bonnor Springs, KS. "Kenny" to his family and friends, passed away on May 18, 2016 at the age of 86. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years Yvonne Burke, his son Peter Burke and daughter in-law Kim (Roche) Burke.
Enlisting into the United States Navy in January of 1947, he proudly served his country for 20 years. Later he continued his career as a civil servant with the United States Customs Agency until retiring in Jacksonville Beach. As a Korean War Veteran, Kenny was a founding member of the Fleet Reserve Branch 290. He also enjoyed his daily visit to the American Legion Post 316 where he was affectionately known as "4 O'clock Ken".
Kenny was a very kind and gentle man who enjoyed the simple things in life. His good nature and infectious smile will be dearly missed.
