Yoga for Health: Yoga for Health & Healing is offered from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Neptune Beach Senior Activity Center. The class is designed for those reluctant to attend a regular class but who want to learn the fundamentals of yoga. C.H.A.I.N.: The Beaches Resource Center (BRC) offers C.H.A.I.N. (Children Helping Another in Need) this summer, a grief support group for youngsters 5-9 who have experienced the loss of a loved one and may need help coping with that loss. Two BRC therapists will facilitate the group, which will meet weekly on Thursday mornings for six weeks through Aug. 7. The National Stuttering Association-Jacksonville chapter is a support group. Monthly meetings are peer-facilitated and designed to provide self-help, support and education for those who stutter, as well as for those interested in stuttering. Brown Bag Lectures: Brown Bag Lectures take place from noon-1 p.m. the first Friday of each month at the GTM Reserve Environmental Education Center, 505 Guana River Road. River City Singles Club: The River City Singles Club, Inc., a chapter of the Singles Association of Florida (SAF), holds a dance from 8-11 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1501 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville. Yoga at Cobalt Moon: "Building Your Practice" is offered at Cobalt Moon for those interested in deepening their yoga practice with new postures, breath and body awareness. Adopt-A-Rescued-Kitty: Kittens and cats that have been veterinarian-checked and tested, and that have shots and have been neutered, are available for adoption from noon-6 p.m. at PetCo at Atlantic and Kernan boulevards.

American Ballroom: The American Ballroom and Contemporary Dance Association meets at 8 p.m. the second Saturday of the month at Bolero’s, 10131 Atlantic Blvd. Guest admission is $12. For information or reservations, call 246-2858.

Contra Dance: “Contra Dance" at Cobalt Moon Water Studio is offered from 8-11 p.m. the first Saturday of each month. It’s for regulars and “newbies.” The caller, Charlie Dyer, introduces and breaks down each dance before starting so no experience is necessary. Heartland Hospice Services: Heartland Hospice Services conducts volunteer training sessions the second Saturday of every month at its main office, 8130 Baymeadows Way West. Ponte Vedra Writers: Florida Writers Association’s Ponte Vedra Writers Group meets at 10 a.m. the fourth Saturday of each month at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. FWA is a statewide, non-profit organization with more than 750 members dedicated to the support of aspiring and published writers. Meetings are open to members and non-members. Radiant Wellness Center: Happy Healthy Back and Neck Yoga is held from 9-10:15 a.m. at Let’s Dance in Ponte Vedra Beach. This class is helpful to anyone currently having or who previously experienced neck or back issues. Students learn safe ways to stretch and strengthen their backs through yoga. Man to Man: Man to Man, a prostate cancer support group, meets every other month at 6 p.m. on first Tuesday dates, July 1, Sept. 2 and Nov. 4, at Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Conference Room B. Man to Man, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, is a program for people dealing with or interested in learning about prostate cancer while providing a forum for prostate cancer survivors to offer support to those newly diagnosed.

Merchants Association: The Beaches Town Center Merchants Association meets the second Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. Beaches Town Center is the heart of Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach. The BTCMA membership is comprised of business owners and managers of the area and is involved in and sponsors many of the community’s events. Oceanside Rotary: Oceanside Rotary Club of Jacksonville Beach meets for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at Selva Marina Country Club, Atlantic Beach.

Radiant Wellness Center: Integrative Yoga is offered from 8:30-9:45 a.m. and 6:30-7:45 p.m. The class is appropriate for physically active beginners and experienced yoga students.
